Back in December we took a close look at the funky and fashionable Blue Badge Holders available from the Blue Badge Company and highlighted how they’d attend that year’s Naidex Convention. Well, they were back this year with a bright and exciting new range of holders, displayed in the New Product Showcase. This new range of products has a summery theme and it’s all about Love & Peace. Bright and bold, this sixties inspired summery design is bound to bring in many more customers looking for a way of jazzing up their Blue parking badge.

As our photos show, the range of colours available for these new holders are fantastic and even better, The Blue Badge Company have put together some fantastic package deals which even offer this funky pink design with an accessible RADAR toilet key in a package so you can benefit from both products in one go and the benefits of RADAR keys is something we have discussed at length in the past. It’s great to see a company who are considering design and fashion alongside the practicality of their creation and it shows that it is possible to invent products which cater to those living with disabilities without making them look both clinical and ugly.

DUO from the design company ‘Really Useful Things’, is an extra handle that fixes securely to your cup or mug, making it easier to hold and protecting you from a hot surface.

At Living with Disability, we always like to showcase new inventions that may be of some help to many of our readers and after the Naidex Convention in May, many new products have come to market and we’re keen to share the most innovative with you. One of these is the DUO, an additional ergonomic handle for glasses and cups, which has been designed to aid stability and safety when drinking. An extremely simple and straightforward design the DUO can make a huge difference to your daily life if it means you can drink safely without fear of spillage or scalds in the case of hot drinks. Designed as an alternative to two handled beakers and plastic cups, you can simply attach the DUO to your favourite mug or glass and off you go.

The beauty of the DUO is that it adapts items you already have so you don’t need to buy a new mug or glass, you can simply attach to those you have already. As a new product on the market, the DUO has appealed to many at trade shows and is gaining in popularity and we completely agree that it really is a valuable invention which solves an age old problem.

All New Topro Troja 2G Rollator

Having previously discussed the fantastic Topro Troja Rollator back in February, we’re pleased to announce that a new model was introduced during the New Product Showcase at the 2012 Naidex National Convention in May. With all the benefits of the original model plus much more we’re excited to see how this new model measures up and of course, give you a closer look at its specifications and check out any relevant customer reviews.

Since the original Troja won many awards the engineers behind the brand have put their all into developing an even more superior model, providing the requirements and surpassing the expectations of their customers. Officially launching in September 2011, the original roll out of the product came with the following video:

Described as a premium rollator, the 2nd generation Troja is designed with your comfort and safety in mind. New features include ergonomically developed handles, to provide a wider range of possible hand positions whilst in use. Quick release wheels also mean you can now store the Troja 2G even more easily especially when travelling by car. Additional reflective panels have been fitted to further the security you feel whilst using your rollator and the model has also been equipped with further enhanced kerblifter technology, making those pesky curbs a worry of the past. These additional features are all on top of the standard features which already put the Norwegian brand at the top of the rollator market.

Both industry experts and users were excited and interested in the newest Topro product at Naidex and this hasn’t stopped as the product has reached a wider audience base.
